Skill Set

Junior textile designer should possess strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate, along with a solid foundation in surface pattern design, color theory, and textile manufacturing techniques like weaving and printing. The role demands a sharp eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to anticipate design trends. Effective communication and teamwork are essential to collaborate with clients and internal teams. A global design sensibility and understanding of international markets are key to creating relevant, trend-conscious textile collections.

Responsibility

You will be responsible for developing original prints and surface patterns for home furnishings that reflect current market trends. You will create mood boards, hand and digital sketches, and adaptable renderings for both print and weave applications. The role involves researching colors, materials, and global inspirations to inform design direction, coordinating with production teams to ensure precise sampling, and overseeing quality during production. The designer will also support new product development by proposing innovative concepts and ensuring high design standards throughout.
