Skill Set
A skilled and creative video editor should have a strong command of editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro. An eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm is essential, along with knowledge of color correction, sound design, and motion graphics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and organized, with the ability to interpret briefs effectively and bring raw footage to life. Strong time management and a collaborative mindset are also key to delivering polished, engaging content.
Responsibility
As a detail-driven visual storyteller, the video editor will transform raw footage into compelling, high-quality content that aligns with brand vision and messaging. This includes trimming clips, adding transitions, syncing audio, and incorporating music, graphics, and effects. They will collaborate with creative teams to understand the narrative direction, manage multiple edits under tight deadlines, and ensure final outputs meet platform specifications. Maintaining organized file structures, backing up data, and staying updated on editing trends and techniques are also part of the role.
